What kind of options will I have to choose from?  What name brands do you use?

While working with our designer you will be able to choose from numerous name brand to fit within your designate budget.  Moen and Delta plumbing supplies, Mohawk and Shaw carpets (and we also have access to artists who can custom design carpets and rugs just for you), framing packages from PlyMart, DalTile, Schlage locks, Sherwin-Williams paint colors, and many others.  We use craftsmen for cabinetry and interior trim who will work with you to create rooms that are uniquely yours. When presenting your proposal, you will see each quality supplier that goes into your proposal.  Should you decide to upgrade, that design choice will affect your home construction budget.

How much should I invest in options?

That is a decision that is best answered by you and your real estate agent.  You will want to have all the amenities that make your house feel like home.  However, you should not overbuild for your area.

How do I determine what I want in my new home?

Spend some time looking through new “home” magazines.  Tear out any pages of things that catch your eye.  Think about how you entertain.  Do you need dimmer switches for  your dining room lighting?  Do you need additional fax or electrical outlets for a home office? Then talk with our designer about your needs. Appliances can be ordered. Interior trim can be matched by talking with our craftsmen.

How do I select which colors I would like in my new home?

Colors that you like in everyday life are not always the ones you want to live with.  Feel free to have swatches, magazines, articles, or pictures with you.  The more magazine pictures you have the better this helps to define your sense of style- whether this is traditional, contemporary, classic, or eclectic.
